The Project
An Avenue Becomes a Studio
For a few Saturdays each summer, New York closes miles of avenue to cars and opens them to people. Our founding team has programmed art-making on those avenues for two seasons — long tables, real materials, and teaching artists who invite anyone passing by to sit down and make something.
No sign-up, no fee, no experience needed: the format is built for the passerby. Children stay for an hour; grandparents join in. It is the clearest demonstration of what PACA is for — culture that meets the city where it already gathers.
Next step: the 2027 season application is in preparation. Dates will be posted to the Calendar the moment they are confirmed.
